Hon. Alex Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh

Hon. Alex Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh is a politician and businessman serving as the Member of the House of Representatives for the Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency since November 2023. Born on 10 October 1980 in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area, Abia State, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Calabar.\n\nHe was elected Local Government Chairman of Aba North at age 27, becoming one of the youngest LGA chairmen in Nigerian political history (2007-2010). He later built the GrossField Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in construction, real estate, oil and gas, and vehicle imports.\n\nElected to the 10th National Assembly on the APGA platform in 2023, Ikwechegh subsequently joined the Labour Party under Governor Alex Otti. In his first term he delivered road rehabilitation, over 1,500 solar street lights, 15 electricity transformers, and 200 university scholarships through the Alex Ikwechegh Foundation across Aba North and South.
